Service Description

Day 1 Flyfishing School on the River Day 2 Full Day trip on the Gunpowder Day 3 Full Day trip on the North Branch of the Potomac This is a package we have put together for someone who is just looking to get into fly fishing or someone just looking to up their skills alongside of a guide. Included in this is a fully outfitted 3-day trip, at the end you will leave fully outfitted and a better fisherman. We will outfit you with a rod and reel combo and all the gear you will need. Bag, leader, tippet all the way down to selecting every fly we put in your new fly box. Only thing not included is your waders, again this is something we recommend going to the store and fitting yourself. We will always recommend a steel cleated wading boot for the best traction, if not do have rentals for 100$ for length of trip. This 3-day excursion is set up in 3 sperate parts giving you 3 separate trips, will schedule trips that are not back-to-back unless that is what you prefer. On day one of the excursion will be Flyfishing School on the River, getting you acquainted to your new equipment. Walking you through setting up your new rod to tying your tippet on. Once you are comfortable with the set up, we will move to the cast. By that time, we will be ready for lunch on the river, after lunch continue working on your casting or if you’re ready we will move to the river. Finding the fish and reading the river and what fly to tie. Day 2 we will use the skills you learned prior and will fish The Gunpowder with lunch on the river. The final day we will be the final test fishing a full day on the North Branch of the Potomac chasing large brown and rainbow trout. Enjoy our last riverside lunch together and at the end of the day we will head into the town of Luke for dinner. We will work with you on scheduling, day 1 and 2 are ok back-to-back but we recommend separating day 3. The North Branch is around a 3-hour drive from the Baltimore area and do recommend lodging somewhere.
