BROOK TROUT ON THE SAVAGE

Service Description

The Savage River is known all over for its fishing and if you mention the savage to any angler, they immediately think of the Brook Trout. Visiting the Savage is an experience all its own even if you are not fishing. On this trip we will target fish that many anglers chase and never are successful. The Brook trout can be very skittish, so a perfect presentation is necessary. That starts from your approach in the river all the way to the fly presentation. Proper presentation also gives you the opportunity to catch a Brown too that live alongside the Brook trout. There are some small feeder streams to the Savage that we can also adventure into for that Blue Lining experience. The Savage is an excellent fishery, but it does present some challenges. The Savage is a fast-flowing river with a large bolder river bottom, means it is one of the tougher river systems to fish in Maryland. We will be right next to you and have spent a lot of time learning the river and will put you in the best position to be successful. Depending on your location recommend finding lodging, it is over 3 hours from the Annapolis area.
